Job summary

VDS Consulting Group is seeking an ESG Due Diligence Consultant to lead environmental site assessment reviews and EHS integration post-transaction. You will scope Phase I/II ESA, evaluate contamination and liabilities, and assess regulatory permits and ESG exposure.

Experience in AS MT E1527 Phase I and permitting is required. Senior professionals will drive remediation cost estimates and provide indemnity or price adjustment recommendations, shaping the safety and sustainability plan after

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• PE or CHMM certification is a plus.
• 7+ years in environmental consulting, EHS leadership, or deal review.

Responsibilities

• Scope and review Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments with qualified environmental firms.
• Assess site contamination, legacy liabilities, and ecological risks.
• Check compliance with air, water, waste, and hazardous materials permits (EPA, OSHA, and state rules).
• Review EHS programs, safety records, incident history, and open enforcement actions.
• Evaluate ESG and sustainability exposure, including emissions reporting and investor expectations.
• Estimate remediation and compliance costs and recommend indemnities or price adjustments.
• After close, lead EHS integration and a safety and sustainability improvement plan.
