Great American Insurance Group is hiring a Contract Surety Underwriter for our Atlanta office. The role includes in-office work and travel within the assigned territory, focusing on underwriting reports and risk assessment to support bonding solutions.

You will build strategic relationships, communicate effectively, and deliver exceptional client service while upholding integrity and accountability in all decisions. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Finance or accounting background preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze reports used in underwriting: financial statements, job schedules, bank agreements, credit reports.
• Assess risk quality in line with company practices.
• Develop and maintain strategic internal/external relationships.
• Communicate effectively and stay organized across responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and make timely, informed decisions.
• Operate with integrity and accountability to achieve objectives.
