Great American Insurance Group in Atlanta is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter to join our Bonds team. This role combines strong analytical work with relationship building and risk assessment to support specialty underwriting.

You will analyze financial statements, bank agreements, and credit reports; travel within territory; and collaborate across departments to deliver excellent service while upholding integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in bonds/underwriting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Understand and analyze reports utilized in the underwriting processes, including financial statements, job schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports.
• Assess risk quality in compliance with company’s best practices.

Job Requirements Education:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Field of Study: Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience is desired.
