Job summary

Zurich NA is seeking an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for the Large Contract West Region Surety team. The role focuses on underwriting large contract surety and expanding a portfolio across the Western States, with about 20% travel.

You will lead complex accounts, cultivate broker relationships, and uphold regulatory and guideline compliance while operating with broad authority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years in underwriting, banking, mortgage, finance, or market-facing areas, OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years in claims or underwriting support, OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an associate degree and 1+ years in underwriting/market facing area, OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an associate degree and 4+ years in claims/underwriting support, AND
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of quotes turnaround times for new/renewal business
• Experience with Microsoft Office

• Build and maintain strategic broker and agency relationships
