Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for the Contract Surety Division.

This hybrid role requires travel (~25%) and offers base salary with incentive potential, plus a strong 401K match as part of Total Rewards. You will underwrite and analyze existing accounts, seek new Surety business, and build agency/broker relationships while adhering to Zurich underwriting guidelines and delegated authorities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years in underwriting or market facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and related experience.
• Knowledge of Surety lines and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with quotes for new and renewal business and time constraints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Production and underwriting of new Surety accounts and existing business.
• Internal marketing and cross-sell support within Zurich North America.
• Execution of the external marketing strategy.
• Establish new as well as develop existing agency and broker relationships.
• Working within limits and authorities on assignments of varying degrees of complexity.
