Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is hiring a Contract Surety Underwriter for its Richardson, Texas office. The role includes in-office work with travel within the assigned territory and requires evaluating financial reports, credit information, and bank agreements to assess risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• 3+ years of related experience is desired.
• Experience in underwriting or surety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze reports utilized in the underwriting processes, including financial statements, job schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports.
• Assess risk quality in compliance with company’s best practices.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships, both internally and externally.
