Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Contract Surety Underwriter for our Detroit office. This role involves analyzing underwriting reports, assessing risk, and building strategic relationships with internal teams and external clients.

You will communicate clearly, stay highly organized, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding integrity and making informed decisions to support business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Field of Study: Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience is desired.

This position includes in-office work and travel within the assigned territory.

• Understand and analyze reports utilized in the underwriting processes, including financial statements, job schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports.
