Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer in Lake Orion, MI (or Springboro, OH) for a contract-to-hire role. The engineer will lead supplier qualification, APQP/PPAP, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets across automotive components.

A strong background in TS16949/ISO9001 and Lean methods is essential. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Design, and Procurement teams to drive supplier

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years managing TS16949/ISO9001 quality systems.
4+ years driving continuous quality improvements in manufacturing.
Experience in automotive, battery, electronics or powertrain sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

Interface with component teams to prioritize supplier development needs.
Drive supplier selection through robust qualification processes.
Assess supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality and delivery requirements.
Lead APQP/PPAP activities and supplier cost improvements.
Write reports, present progress to clients, and conduct supplier audits.
