Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a contract SPED Teacher to support 3rd–5th grade students near Glendale Heights, IL. This onsite role runs from early November 2026 through late January 2027 with a full-time schedule and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

You will deliver individualized instruction, develop IEPs with families, adapt curricula, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and staff to foster inclusion and student success.

Qualifications

• Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Experience as SPED teacher in a school setting, preferably elementary.
• Ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and teamwork.
• Commitment to inclusive education for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction to 3rd–5th grade students with special education needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning goals.
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and communicate updates with parents and staff.
• Foster inclusive classroom environment and support student growth.
• Participate in team meetings and share best practices for special education.
