Job summary

KEYENCE Corporation is seeking a Contract Specialist to join the Legal team in Itasca, IL. The role focuses on evaluating, drafting, and managing contractual agreements to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.

You will act as a primary contact for contract inquiries from internal stakeholders, review agreements for risks, draft standard templates, and support the full contract lifecycle. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, law, or related field.
• 2+ years in contract administration, procurement, or negotiation.
• Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail with analytical thinking.
• Ability to interpret complex contractual language and business concepts.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and risk assessment.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for contract inquiries from Sales and Corporate teams.
• Review, analyze, and assess customer and vendor agreements for risks and revisions.
• Draft, edit, and maintain KEYENCE standard legal documents and contract templates.
• Support contract lifecycle management: drafting, negotiation, execution, tracking, termination.
• Lead or support projects on legal review, standardization, and process improvements.
• Ensure contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and contract data in designated systems.
