What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a large volume of agreements, including outgoing subawards and clinical trial agreements
- Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for various types of contracts and agreements
- Communicate institutional policies and requirements to stakeholders involved in contract processing
- Maintain electronic records of contract actions and statuses in compliance with policies
- Assist in the training of team members and participate in special projects as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in contracting, research administration, legal assisting/paralegal, or clinical research coordination
- Ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and communication skills with a focus on customer service
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a legal or research administration role within a healthcare setting
- Law school or law school internships may be substituted for some experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and a proven track record of accuracy in task completion
- Experience with contract negotiation and management in a research context
