Job summary

Nestlé S.A. in the USA, through a third-party staffing partner, is seeking a Contract Sensory Panelist to evaluate foods for appearance, aroma, flavor and texture with trained methods.

This temporary external worker position is employed by the staffing partner, not Nestlé in the USA. Duties include team discussions and data entry with a Tue-Thu 9:00 am–1:00 pm schedule and breaks to prevent tasting fatigue.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely and effectively taste a wide variety of food products.
• Ability to detect and document flavor attributes using standardized methods.
• Ability to detect aromas and scents and document observations.
• Ability to evaluate texture and visual characteristics and document observations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete routine tasks quickly.
• English communication sufficient for group discussions and written notes.
• Training will be provided; no prior tasters required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in team discussions to objectively describe food products.
• Taste and objectively assess food samples for appearance, aroma, flavor and texture.
• Enter data in computer system.
• Work schedule is fixed 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Tuesdays through Thursdays; breaks provided.
