Job summary

Intone Inc. seeks a Mainframe Developer for a 6-month contract position based in Midvale, Utah. You will design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications while delivering reliable software solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include production support, batch processing, and working with Endevor for code releases. Expect strong CDC/DB2/VSAM experience and the ability to mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL.
• Strong hands-on experience with JCL.
• Strong hands-on experience with CICS.
• Strong hands-on experience with DB2.
• Strong hands-on experience with VSAM.
• Experience with Endevor for source control and deployments.
• Experience with Control-M scheduling, batch workflow management, and production job monitoring.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions and deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and application maintenance across multiple systems.
• Support enterprise batch processing and production job monitoring.
• Use source control and deployment tools such as Endevor to manage code and releases.
• Perform mainframe debugging and performance analysis to optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and offshore development and support teams.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions in fast-paced enterprise environments.
