Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services in Mechanicsville, MD is seeking a dedicated in-person School Psychologist on a contract basis to provide comprehensive testing, counseling, and consultation in a school setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Maryland School Psychologist license or eligibility, has NASP-aligned training, and can collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student well-being and learning. Salary is commensurate with experience at $65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland School Psychologist license or MSDE eligibility.
• MD state license or education certification as School Psychologist.
• Educator Certificate if applicable.
• Prefer experience in a school setting and knowledge of laws.
• Strong testing, counseling and intervention skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify needs.
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop IEPs and BIPs.
• Provide counseling and interventions for emotional/mental health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address challenges.
• Offer consultation and training to school staff.
• Promote mental health through prevention programs and crisis support.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
