Position Summary

The Contract/Preventative Maintenance Agreement Sales Representative is responsible for increasing recurring service and monitoring sales for electronic and mechanical life safety systems, including fire alarms, fire sprinklers, suppression systems, and security/special hazards. This involves converting projects, existing customers, and prospects into service agreements covering testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and monitoring. The role requires reviewing existing customer systems, conducting surveys, and maintaining high prospecting activity to meet sales goals.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Grow the business by providing solutions to existing and new clients
  • Consistently conduct cold calls and outside sales activities to seek new business
  • Perform building surveys to develop proposals for customers
  • Create proposals for service agreements including testing, inspections, and monitoring
  • Present sales proposals to customers and management
  • Maintain knowledge of all product lines and services
  • Review inspection reports with technicians and managers to prepare repair proposals
  • Coordinate with internal departments to communicate job scopes and customer needs
  • Attract new customers and upsell existing clients through various sales channels
  • Support marketing initiatives related to sales activities
  • Present company services effectively to customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of high-volume sales experience
  • Experience in outside sales and cold calling
  • Proven track record in selling services or intangibles
  • Excellent customer service, thoroughness, and self-motivation
  • Strong work ethic, competitiveness, and optimism
  • Good decision-making, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret safety and operational documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and background checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fire alarm systems, CCTV, security, and low voltage systems
