Job summary

heritage care & rehabilitation center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our friendly, supportive team in Mason City, IA. This contracted role focuses on delivering nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy to residents to help them achieve nutritional and medical goals.

Requirements include an associate’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field, plus one year of Dietary Technician experience; licensure by the CDR is preferable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in reaching their nutritional goals and provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
• Evaluate, monitor and document residents' nutritional status and needs.
• Identify and provide nutritional counselling to meet residents' cultural needs.
• Collaborate with on-site dietitian for high-risk cases and write dietary orders.
