Job summary

Johnson Electric in Vandalia, Ohio is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist on a fixed-term contract (up to 6 months) to lead recruitment for manufacturing, production, and professional roles across the United States. Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle for manufacturing, skilled trades, technical, and professional positions.
• Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates using multiple channels and sourcing strategies.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting plans, provide market insights, and deliver top talent.
• Coordinate interviews and ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Prepare and extend employment offers and support pre-employment activities, including reference checks.
• Maintain accurate information in Workday and ensure compliance with company hiring processes.
• Support hiring events, workforce planning initiatives, and talent acquisition projects.
• Analyze recruiting activity and identify opportunities for process improvement and increased hiring efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other HR-related projects as assigned.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience

Travel: Up to 10% within the United States as needed

As our next Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting Johnson Electric's hiring needs across the United States. This position will lead recruitment efforts for production and manufacturing roles at our Vandalia facility while also supporting professional, technical, and corporate hiring across multiple U.S. locations. In addition, you'll contribute to strategic talent acquisition projects designed to improve recruiting effectiveness, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
• Experience recruiting for manufacturing, production, skilled trades, engineering, supply chain, or professional positions.
• Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and sourcing skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
• Experience using Workday Recruiting or another Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience supporting high-volume hiring initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of employment laws and recruitment compliance requirements.
• Experience with direct sourcing, LinkedIn Recruiter, and talent pipelining strategies.
