Contract Recruiter-Skilled Trades Recruiting Experience

Location: Full remote*****Onsite onboarding and occasional office visits in Massachusetts required. We are only considering candidates who reside in the northeast for this role

A well-established, high-end construction and design company in the Northeast is seeking a seasoned Contract Recruiter to join their team on a project basis. This is a unique opportunity to support a fast-moving HR leader who is currently managing an overwhelming number of critical searches and needs a trusted recruiting partner to help fill roles and keep the hiring process on track.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll step in as a hands-on recruiter to help source and fill a range of skilled trades, administrative, and project support positions. This is not a plug-and-play sourcing assignment — the ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a lean environment without a formal ATS. You’ll be working off an Excel tracker for now, with support from a Director of HR who knows the ropes but is stretched thin.

What You'll Be Doing

• Full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and facilitating offers
• Partnering closely with HR and hiring managers to prioritize roles and define hiring needs
• Creatively sourcing candidates for hard-to-fill roles not typically found on LinkedIn
• Engaging with local communities, networks, and industry contacts to identify talent
• Staying organized and communicative using existing (bare bones) tracking tools

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in talent acquisition and full-cycle recruiting, especially for skilled trades, woodworkers, millworkers, cabinetmakers, construction PMs etc.
• A demonstrated ability to creatively find and recruit experienced and talented trades workers who are NOT on LinkedIn or job sites.
• A scrappy, self-motivated recruiter who knows how to dig in and deliver results without needing fancy tools
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A Northeast-based recruiter who is comfortable working remotely but can travel to Massachusetts for onboarding and occasional in-person check-ins
