Job summary

OPW Global in Hamilton, Ohio seeks a Product Engineer to lead front-end design for a diverse line of fluid transfer products, from initial concept through prototyping, testing and production. You will create detailed 3D models and drawings using Creo and Windchill, manage project plans, and lead cross-functional teams while applying DFMA, FMEA and stage-gate practices.

The role requires a BS Mechanical Engineering and 3–5+ years of design experience, with up to 10% travel and close collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5+ years of experience in design or product engineering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (Creo/Windchill).
• Knowledge of DFMA, FMEA and stage-gate processes.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to create detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, and 2D drawings from voice of customer input.
• Manage project plans and lead cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and cost targets.
• Build, test, and refine prototypes to meet safety, functionality and regulatory objectives.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize manufacturing processes using DFMA principles.
• Document changes and update BOMs, drawings and FMEA as needed.
• Provide engineering support to sustaining teams and customers as required.
