FamilyCare is seeking a Legal and Compliance Specialist to support contract management, privacy and risk management programs under the supervision of the general counsel and compliance officer. The role involves processing contracts, maintaining systems, performing privacy investigations, and coordinating regulatory compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and three years’ experience in contract management, healthcare risk management, privacy, or compliance; or
• Associates degree in related field or paralegal studies and five years’ experience in contract management, healthcare risk management, privacy, or compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contract management system and provide technical support for contract intake and users.
• Process contract intake forms for legal/CEO review and ensure complete information.
• Develop training materials and train contract managers on intake process and responsibilities.
• Ensure contract files have fully executed contracts and documents.
• Monitor internal contracts email inbox and respond timely.
• Maintain interface with contract management system provider as internal gatekeeper.
• Create contracts by template as directed; enter redlines as directed.
• Perform exclusion checks and sanctions checks on vendors.
