Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist (Columbia, MD) for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. The position requires blood draws, specimen handling, and compliance with lab procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric populations, and possesses a valid phlebotomy certification for the state. Schedule is M-F, 8a–5p.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required in the employed state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens per established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and package specimens for transport.
• Record maintenance data and ensure accurate patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
