Responsibilities include discussing procedures with patients, ensuring specimen integrity, and complying with OSHA and department protocols. Phlebotomy certification and related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain testing data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Package and store specimens to preserve integrity.
• Ensure OSHA regulations are followed.
