Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Rock Hill, SC. The position runs 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an anticipated duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, data recording, OSHA/DEP compliance, and client communication. Requires state Phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months' experience in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer phone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
