Key People is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Baltimore, MD. The role requires hands-on blood collection, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and accurate data recording, with the possibility of converting to permanent employment for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, experience across pediatric to geriatric patients, and a valid state phlebotomy certification. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience required.
• Pediatric to geriatric experience required.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Matches lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity per protocol.
