Responsibilities

• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles, matches requisition forms to tubes, and documents results.
• Packages specimens for transport and maintains proper storage conditions for transport integrity.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
