Joseph Michaels International in Laredo, TX seeks a qualified Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule includes Mondays all day at the first location, then Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays 8am–10am, with travel to a second location for Tue/Wed/Thu after 10am and Fridays all day at that location.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging, maintaining data, and ensuring specimen integrity while complying with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information per protocol.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
