Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Gainesville, GA. The position runs approximately 3 months with the potential for permanent placement, and involves 8:00am–4:45pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper transport and documentation. Requires a phlebotomy certificate for the state and 6 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique with needles as required.
• Coordinate with physicians' orders, match requisitions to specimen tubes, and label and store specimens appropriately.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperatures and labeling for transport.
