Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The position supports blood collection, labeling, and specimen handling in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring transport readiness while adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations. Benefits are available and schedule is M-F, 8:00am–4:45pm.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and updates patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique with needles.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
