Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a Phlebotomist in Due West, SC for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with benefits available.

The role involves blood draws, specimen processing, and adherence to lab protocols and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include labeling, centrifuging, and storing specimens, communicating procedures to patients, and maintaining accurate patient and test records.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in some states
• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED minimum 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
