Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire in a fast-paced hospital laboratory in Texas.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining specimens; you'll explain the venipuncture process to patients, ensure accuracy, and comply with OSHA regulations. The position requires certification and at least 6 months' experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocols.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and maintain patient information.
