Job summary

Tom Trese in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a contract Phlebotomist (Position: 5337) to support blood collection duties. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm; duration projected at 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling, centrifuging, documenting maintenance data, and ensuring specimen integrity while complying with OSHA regulations and department trainings.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
