Job summary

Soap Creek Resources seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Glen Burnie, MD, with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7a–4p. The position involves performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper paperwork and transport procedures.

The role requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, plus certification. OSHA/DEP compliance and annual trainings are expected as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes, label and centrifuge as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store per temperature requirements.
