Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking a Phlebotomist in Rock Hill, SC for a contract role with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient records while adhering to OSHA and DEP regulations. Certification and hospital lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
