Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Rock Hill, SC. The assignment runs about 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8am–5pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data entry, and ensuring specimen integrity and OSHA compliance. Qualifications include valid Phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and attend annual trainings.
