Talent With Heart in Owasso, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract (potential for permanent) with a Mon–Fri 7:00 am to 3:30 pm schedule. This position involves performing venipunctures, labeling specimens, and providing essential lab support.

Responsibilities include collecting and transporting specimens, documenting results, and ensuring patient information accuracy while maintaining OSHA compliance.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• At least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understands physicians' orders and matches requisitions to tubes.
• Labels, centrifuges, splits and freezes specimens as required.
• Checks test requisitions or computer labels for accuracy.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples per protocol.
• Adheres to OSHA and DEP regulations and attends trainings.
• Answers inquiries by reading laboratory results.
