Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist for Fort Lauderdale, FL, to assist in performing venipuncture and specimen handling with strict adherence to procedures. The role requires labeling, centrifuging, storing specimens, and documenting patient information accurately.

The ideal candidate has a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 2 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens as required by test orders.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
