True North Consultants, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role (3 months + potential for permanent). The schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, data entry, and proper specimen handling to maintain integrity. Requires phlebotomy certification and minimum 1 year of related experience. Position involves troubleshooting, training, and workflow recommendations within a fast-paced lab setting.

Competenze

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains the venipuncture process clearly.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles, matches requisition forms to tubes.
• Package specimens for transport, stores samples properly, and complies with OSHA/DEP regulations.
