Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrates technique using straight and butterfly needles; matches requisitions to specimen tubes; labels, centrifuges, and stores specimens correctly.
• Packages specimens for transport; stores samples per required temperatures; ensures accuracy with test orders; follows OSHA/DEP regulations.
