Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Phlebotomist in Hyattsville, MD for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and ensuring specimen integrity. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday with extended Friday hours.

Qualified candidates will hold a state phlebotomy certification, have 6+ months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. High school diploma or GED required. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state you will be employed in.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and store by required temperatures.
• Ensure test requisitions match scripts and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
