Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in New Canton, VA. The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper handling per protocol; candidates must have phlebotomy certification and relevant experience, with OSHA/DEP compliance and data recording duties.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling and testing.
Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required conditions; maintain specimen integrity.
