Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Lawndale, NC seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role (3 months with potential for permanent). Shifts are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, on-site.

The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, data recording, and adherence to procedures and safety standards. Minimum requirements include valid Phlebotomy certification for the state, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples to maintain integrity.
• Understand OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
