Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Manhattan, KS seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: Mon–Fri 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Pay rate: $17.40 per hour. Projected duration: 3 months with potential for perm.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data. Requires venipuncture experience and state phlebotomy certification. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the state of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles and follow physician orders.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling and transport.
