Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment where required.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging, decontamination, and recording maintenance data.
• Updating patient information and matching requisition forms to tubes.
• Package specimens for transport and store specimens at required temperatures.
• Explain venipuncture processes clearly and courteously.
• Answer inquiries and adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations.
