Job summary

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, maintaining accurate records, and complying with OSHA regulations. Minimum qualification includes a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity during transit.
