Job summary

The Walt Disney Company ESPN Legal is seeking a Paralegal in Bristol, CT to support attorneys across transactional matters, including programming acquisitions, production and distribution agreements, marketing, and digital media rights.

You will draft and analyze contracts, coordinate with clients and outside counsel, manage vendor workflows, and assist with trademark matters as needed, while maintaining confidentiality and meeting key deadlines.

Qualifications

• Drafts contracts and legal documents across multiple subject areas.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Able to solve problems with independent judgment.
• Effective communication with management levels.
• Strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Ability to handle high volume workload with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Drafts contracts and other legal documents for programming, film, sponsorship and IP.
• Works with attorneys and clients; receives assignments directly.
• Manages vendor approvals and drafts vendor MSAs.
• Maintains master contracts and department documents.
• Performs legal research in focus areas.
• Translates requirements into contract language and proposes alternatives.
• Supports trademark matters as needed (filings, renewals, searches).
• Tracks deadlines and updates attorneys/clients to prevent misses.
• Sets up matters in Legal Tracker and reviews outside counsel invoices.
• Interacts with internal/external stakeholders under attorney supervision.
• Provides administrative support to department attorneys and finance interface.
• Contributes to department initiatives (intranet, client presentations).
• Performs other duties as delegated by supervising attorney.
