Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking a Packaging Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Vernon Hills, IL. The role blends on-site work with a hybrid schedule (three days in the office, two days remote) and a 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities include packaging design development for medical devices or pharma, verification and validation, and ensuring design controls and regulatory alignment (ISO11607, EUMDR). Bachelor degree required; minimum 3 years in medical device packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Packaging, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in medical device packaging.
• Familiar with ISO 11607, ISO 13485, ISO 14971.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of package engineering principles and regulations.
• Designs and prototypes packaging concepts per design control requirements with moderate guidance.
• Evaluates and improves existing packaging concepts with moderate guidance.
• Selects packaging materials and equipment with moderate guidance.
• Supports external resources as needed.
• Expands packaging knowledge and skills.
• Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
