Job summary

Vision Quest Solutions Inc. seeks qualified optometrists for an anticipated contract at Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center in Sisseton, SD. This is a pre‑award opportunity for up to two contract optometrists, with employment contingent upon contract award and IHS onboarding.

Expected start December 1, 2026, for an anticipated one-year assignment. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with no holidays.

Qualifications

OD degree from an ACOE-accredited program.
Current, active, unrestricted optometry license in the U.S. (state/territory/DC/PR).
Completion of a one-year residency or one year of professional optometry experience within past 24 months.
Current Basic Life Support certification.
Electronic health record proficiency and fluent English communication.
Ability to meet IHS credentialing, privileging, employee-health, and background requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient optometric care to patients of all ages, averaging 12–16 patients daily.
Perform eye examinations and diagnose, treat, and manage visual and ocular conditions within approved clinical privileges.
Provide patient education, referrals, and follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
Collaborate with clinical staff to support culturally sensitive patient care.
