The Indian Health Service in Manderson, SD seeks a licensed optometrist to deliver comprehensive eye care, conducting exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and providing emergency care when needed. You will support inpatient and outpatient services within a federal healthcare system serving Native communities.

Applicants must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree, pass NBEO examinations, and possess or obtain an unrestricted optometry license with privileges.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited program.
• Current NBEO Examinations pass and unrestricted optometry license.
• Eligibility to obtain medical staff privileges.
• Ability to meet licensure requirements for practice in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Perform full range of professional optometric duties: exams, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases.
• Provide comprehensive primary eye care including examination, diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
• Provide emergency ocular care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
