Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry.
• Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice Optometry in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• (Preferred) Board Certified in Optometry.
• Active BLS certification.
• 2 years minimum experience post-graduate in Optometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Optometry care utilizing IHS facilities and support services.
• Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients.
• Refer patients to other IHS providers when appropriate.
• Provide coverage as needed within the service unit.
