The ideal candidate has 4+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, including union environments, and a strong grasp of Lean methods, scheduling, and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience supervising production employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising union-represented employees.
• Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and manage manufacturing teams.
• Strong understanding of production operations, scheduling, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and maintain production targets.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clarita during 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations and frontline production employees to meet production, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Provide consistent leadership, direction, coaching, and support to manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, equipment, and production resources to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor productivity, identify production bottlenecks, and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Manage employee performance, provide feedback, and maintain accountability for company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Lead teams through changing operational priorities while maintaining employee morale, engagement, and productivity.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, visual management, standardized work, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other departments.
• Supervise employees in a unionized manufacturing environment while following established workplace procedures and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
